Kroky: Walk Breaks ("Kroky") is an iPhone app that suggests walks. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app uses, where it goes, and what stays on your iPhone. The short version: we don't collect anything. Kroky has no server, no account and no analytics. The few things that leave your iPhone go to Apple or to OpenStreetMap so the app can find parks, plan a route and check the weather.
Nothing. We, the makers of Kroky, don't receive your steps, your location, your calendar or anything else. There is no login and no server we run.
Kroky reads your step count (and your walking step length, to turn steps into distance) from Apple Health to know when you've been sitting and how many steps are left today. It only reads Health data. It never writes to Health. Your Health data is read and used on your iPhone and is never sent anywhere.
Kroky asks for location only while you're using the app, never "Always", and never tracks you in the background. It gets one location fix when you plan a walk and when Home shows the weather. It uses it for two things only: planning a loop near you and getting the weather forecast.
Kroky saves the last location on your iPhone, rounded to two decimal places (about 1 km), so it can check the weather for walk reminders without asking for your location again.
Only if you turn on Skip my meetings, Kroky reads your calendar on your iPhone to find the times you're busy, so it doesn't nudge you during meetings. It uses only the start and end times and whether you're marked busy. Your calendar is never sent anywhere.
Walk nudges are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. Kroky doesn't use a push server.
Kroky Pro is a one-time In-App Purchase processed by Apple's App Store. Apple handles your payment details. They never reach us. Kroky checks your entitlement with Apple and remembers on your iPhone that Pro is unlocked.
Your settings, step goal, nudge hours, the loops you were offered and how you rated them, your walks, the places you asked Kroky to avoid, and the cached park lists are stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.
Kroky has no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, no account system, and no third-party code beyond Apple's own frameworks. We don't track you across apps or websites, and we don't sell or share any data.
Kroky isn't directed at children under 13, and it doesn't collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this address with a new effective date.
