FAQ

Why doesn't Kroky show my steps?

Kroky reads steps from Apple Health. If Home says "Health access is off", Kroky can't see them and assumes you've been sitting.

To turn access on, open the iOS Settings app → Health → Data Access & Devices → Kroky, and allow Steps and Walking Step Length. Also check that Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → Fitness Tracking is on, so your iPhone counts steps at all.

Why am I not getting nudges?

Check these, in order:

Kroky Pro. Sitting nudges and weather reminders are part of Kroky Pro.

Nudges are on. In Kroky, open Settings (the gear on Home) and check that Nudges is on, and how long you have to sit before one comes.

Nudge hours and days. Kroky only nudges between the hours and on the days set under "Nudge me between". With Skip my meetings on, it also stays quiet during calendar events you're busy for.

Notifications. In the iOS Settings app → Notifications → Kroky, allow notifications.

Kroky sends at most 2 nudges a day. iOS decides exactly when the app can check in the background, so a nudge can come a little later than expected, and opening Kroky now and then helps.

How do I restore Kroky Pro on a new iPhone?

In Kroky, open Settings → Unlock Kroky Pro and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple ID that bought it. Kroky Pro is a one-time purchase, so there's nothing to cancel.

How do I remove an avoided place?

In Kroky, open Settings → Avoided places. Swipe left on a place and tap Remove, or tap Clear all to remove every one. Future loops may use those streets again.

What happens to my data?

It stays on your iPhone. Kroky has no account and no server. See the Privacy Policy for what goes to Apple and OpenStreetMap to plan loops and check the weather.
